We’re thrilled to announce the Warrick County Commissioners have just passed a Resolution 2026-12 to recognize September 25 (9/25) as “Give Like Dolly Day” in Warrick County. The resolution encourages Warrick Co citizens to support early literacy and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Warrick Co in honor of Dolly Parton and all she has done to make a difference in this area. Stay tuned - we have lots of ideas to make this an amazing effort for our youngest citizens.
As you may be aware, the Evansville Metropolitan Planning Organization (EMPO), cooperatively with the City of Evansville, City of Henderson, Vanderburgh County, and Warrick County, has initiated, with the support of Michael Baker International (Consultant), the development of a Regional Transit Feasibility Study.
The study will explore opportunities to improve transit service and efficiencies across the Evansville Metropolitan Planning Area, including:
- Metropolitan Evansville Transit System (METS)
- Henderson Area Rapid Transit (HART)
- Warrick Area Transit System (WATS)
We are excited to share that the survey for the Regional Transit Feasibility Study is live and will be available through August 31. We encourage you to complete the survey at this link:

Thank you for assisting us with gathering input for the Regional Transit Feasibility Study. Your support will enable us to better understand community needs and identify opportunities to improve transit service across Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Henderson counties.
