The Warrick County Election Board is currently considering a change from precinct-based voting to vote center voting. This change would make it possible for any voter to cast their vote at any vote center location on election day. This change would make voting more convenient and accessible, while reducing the frustration of getting to the polls only to find you are at the wrong location. The majority of counties in Indiana have already converted to vote centers, including Vanderburgh, Spencer, Posey, Dubois, and Pike.
A copy of the proposed Vote Center Plan is available on the Voter Registration website. The Election Board will be taking public feedback from Oct 5th through Nov 5th. You may submit your feedback by e-mail to [email protected] or by mail to 1 County Square, Suite 220, Boonville, Indiana 47601. A public hearing for final public comment/feedback will be held on Tuesday, Nov 9th at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Meeting room on the third floor of the Old Historic Courthouse in Boonville.
